Raipur: Chhattisgarh's BJP in-charge, Anil Jain informed that no sitting BJP MP of Chhattisgarh will get a ticket this time for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Anil said, "With this decision, no sitting MPs will have any problem as all the MPs who belong to Chhattisgarh will not get tickets. Before taking the decision, the party's state unit held the discussion with all the MPs.
On being asked about the BJP's defeat in the previous assembly election, Anil replied, "Party will win with new faces, new candidates and new zeal to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister once again."
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won 10 seats and Congress won 1 seat.
There are 11 seats of the Lok Sabha in the state out of which 10 belongs BJP MPs.
