New road connects villages in Naxal stronghold

The 23-km road provides better connectivity to the remote areas of Sukhma district in Chhattisgarh and villagers will now have access to basic facilities like medical, health, drinking water and electricity

Sukma: In Chhattisgarh's Sukma district which is infested with Naxalites, a 23-km road connecting Kundanpal, Kunna, Michwar, Bhusaras and Dudhiras through the village panchayat of Jangampal is almost ready. This comes as a piece of good news for villagers as they have been waiting for basic amenities like roads for years, which is now finally being fulfilled.

The initiative to connect Naxal-affected gram panchayat Kunna in Sukma district with the main road was started 20 years ago.
