Samajwadi Party leaders and MP Dharmendra Yadav and AIDMK Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozi also participated in the dharna and addressed the gathering.

Although the protest was organized to raise the issue of crisis in higher education and jobs, the stage took a political turn and most of the students and political leaders who addressed the gathering appealed to throw Modi government out of power in the upcoming general elections.

Former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar and independent MLA from Gujrat Jignesh Mewani are well known for their anti-Modi protests and statements.

The same happened on Thursday where the students and job aspirants from across the country had gathered to raise their issues but they were only asked to vote Modi out of power to get their demands fulfilled.

The day-long dharna concluded at around 4 pm in the evening with repeated appeals by the public representatives to vote out Modi government from power as it was the sole reason behind their all ills.
