Who is Sanoj Raj, the first crorepati of KBC-11?

Sanoj Raj, a native of Bihar became the first crorepati of season 11 of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Sanoj, who aspires to be an IAS officer, will now attempt the Rs 7 crore question on the show.

Sanoj's family said he took a keen interest in studies even as a kid

Jehanabad (Bihar): The 11th season of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, has found its first Crorepati, as Sanoj Raj, a native of Bihar, answered the Rs 1 crore question correctly.

Sanoj, who hails from Dongra village in the Hulasganj block of Bihar's Jehanabad district, will look to script history as will attempt to answer the Rs 7 crore question on the show hosted by Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sanoj's family members said that they feel extremely proud of their son, who aspires to be an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.

Sanoj's family said he took a keen interest in studies even as a kid

Expressing happiness over her son's success, Kalindi Devi, Sanoj's mother said that even as a kid, he always took a keen interest in studies.

Sanoj received his schooling from Jehanabad's Manas Vidyalaya, and later got his B.Tech degree from the West Bengal University.

Following his education, Sanoj took up a job at a private firm, but is currently posted as an Assistant Commandant.

On his son's future ambitions, Ramjatan Sharma, Sanoj's father said, "He is very clear about his ambition. He says that even after becoming an IAS officer, he will not rest and keep working for the society. He aspires to bring a positive change in the society," he said.

Sony TV, the broadcaster of the show, tweeted a promo of the show, which informed that Sanoj would be seen answering the 16th question for Rs 7 crore on September 12 and 13.
