Muzaffarpur (Bihar): Social activist Tamannaah Hashmi has filed a complaint against Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Muzaffarpur Court, holding the union government answerable for the rising fuel prices in the country.

"A case has been registered against Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan under sections 295, 295A, 511, 420. A complaint has been filed against the minister in Muzaffarpur CGM court regarding the increasing price of petrol, diesel.", said Tamannaah Hashmi, a social worker.

At present, the Union Government and the Petroleum Ministry are buying petrol and diesel from abroad at low prices and selling them to the public at arbitrary prices. A double price is being charged from the public than the current price of oil in the international market.
