The Congress has a total of 19 MLAs. There are reports that 14-15 MLAs may join JD(U). Therefore, in order to prevent a split in the party, the Congress High Command can appoint a new Chairman and Executive Chairman from among the MLAs, according to reports.
The Bihar Congress has four Executive Presidents - Kaukab Qadri, Shyam Sundar Singh Dheeraj, Ashok Ram, and Sameer Singh. These four may be replaced by new executive chairpersons who are currently MLAs. Preference may be given to Brahmin, Bhumihar, and OBC leaders as Executive Chairman.
