Patna: Election strategist Prashant Kishor has closed his office in Bihar's Patna after no opposition party paid attention towards him amid the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and coronavirus lockdown. He had prepared a team of up to 50 people for his 'Baat Bihar Ki' campaign.

As per team member Shivaji, during the early few months, his team worked for the upcoming assembly elections, but after the lockdown was imposed, Kishor started scaling down his activities. Most of his teammates were shifted to Bengal and Tamil Nadu and the Patna office has been completely shut down.

Prashant Kishor played a pivotal role in the 2015 Bihar Assembly polls following which Nitish Kumar gave him the second prominent place in the Janata Dal (United).

JDU was entirely responsible for student politics which led the party to the way of victory in Patna University Students' Union polls, but the resentment against Kishor within the party ultimately resulted to his departure from Bihar. Kishor also not played any role in the Lok Sabha elections and later he was asked to move out of the party. Following his differences with Nitish Kumar, Kishore seems to be attacking Bihar CM constantly on social media.

He returned to Bihar to give a befitting reply to Nitish Kumar after the Lok Sabha election results amid talks of transforming the political background of the state but following COVID-19 induced lockdown everything came to a halt. However, Kishor has been continuously targeting Kumar on social media over the rising cases of coronavirus.

The major reason behind the closure of Kishore's office and campaign in Bihar is considered to be the NDA alliance led by Nitish Kumar, along with the lack of attention from the opposition. Many of his campaign members have also left him.
