Patna: A 30-year-old son of a policeman was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Banka district of Bihar, police said on Thursday.
Mangroo Yadav was on his way to a local police station on Wednesday evening, when a group of assailants came to the spot at Bhushana bridge and started shooting at him, an official said.
The accused then fled the scene leaving Mangroo in a pool of blood, he added.
Mangroo was the son of Lakhan Yadav, who was posted at the police station in Suiya station area of the district.
Devendra Rai, in-charge of the police station said that the officials are investigating the case. (IANS)
