Patna: Political strategist-cum-politician Prashant Kishor on Tuesday hit out at deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav for giving false assurance of providing 10 lakh jobs. Kishor even went on to say that Yadav would have done some odd jobs if he had not been the son of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

"Even if Yadav's life is sold off, he would not be able to provide 10 lakh jobs. He would not have got any job if he was not Lalu ji's (Lalu Prasad Yadav) son. Tell me what job would he have got without being Laluji's son?" questioned Prasant.

He said it was promised that issue would be taken up at the first cabinet meeting but Yadav forgot it. "Now, he is going around everywhere. He can move around but, first tell us whether cabinet meetings are being held or not? Every day he (Yadav) is tweeting or interacting with the media. Even after 100 cabinet meetings, why are jobs not being given? If this is the situation, then accept that false assurances were given on providing jobs," Kishor said. His statement comes at a time when Yadav is accompanying Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to meet leaders of opposition parties to fight against the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He along with Kumar had called on Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee at state secretariat Nabanna yesterday.

"Many people tell I'm only speaking about Tejashwi's assurance of 10 lakh jobs and not about Narendra Modi's. I'm speaking about both of them. I'm also telling about myself. If I promise you that I'll provide jobs but do not explain how I'll do so then I am cheating you as well," said Kishor.
