New Delhi: Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly Vijay Sinha on Wednesday said that Opposition MLAs need not be afraid to come to the Assembly as the house belongs to everyone. In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, Vijay Sinha said that the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will commence from July 26 for five days and he is sure that the house will run smoothly.
"Everyone will get a chance to keep their point. Each member should follow Covid protocol and they have been urged to get inoculated against Covid," the Speaker said. Reacting to Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav's letter to him, Sinha said that everyone is equal before him and it will be good if all the members maintain dignity and discipline inside the house. If they will behave well, no MLA will face any problem, he added.

He said that the Opposition parties should play the role of a positive and healthy opposition and the government should also cooperate. "Do not focus on politics all the time. The opposition is also a part of the government. If the opposition cooperates with the government, then the development work will be done faster and the house will also run in a better way," Sinha said.

Notably, the last session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly witness ruckus over the Bihar Police Special Armed Bill following which MLAs were dragged out of the house by the police. In his letter to the Speaker, Tejashwi demanded to ensure the safety and security of the opposition MLAs while seeking strict actions against the culprits.
