No possibility of mid-term polls in Bihar: RLSP

People of Bihar would not like to have a mid-term election, National General Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) Madhav Anand has said. He added that Bihar has a strong leader in Nitish Kumar.

New Delhi: Responding to Tejashwi Yadav's claims that Bihar will go for assembly election again next year, National General Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) Madhav Anand said there is no possibility of a mid-term election in the state as a strong government is running in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

"The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will complete its tenure of five years in the state and all the promises made by the party will be fulfilled. It's only to boost the moral of his party worker, Tejashwi is making statement of mid term election in 2021," Madhav Anand said.

Adding that even Biharis would not like to have a mid-term election, Madhav said Bihar has a strong leader in Nitish Kumar.

No possibility of mid-term election: RLSP

Leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had on Monday asked the Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders to gear up for the assembly election next year. He made this claim during the review meeting of the party held at the party office. Describing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and JDU alliance as a coalition of compulsion, he said that this alliance can be broken anytime.

It is to be noted that RLSP has now taken a soft stand on Nitish Kumar. According to sources, Nitish Kumar and and RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha may merge his party with JDU.

Kushwaha who has worked with Nitish Kumar before, can also become the education minister of Bihar.
