Nitish Kumar will be retained as CM, says Jitan Ram Manjhi

Former Bihar Chief Minister Manjhi himself won elections from Imamganj seat and said, with the number of votes that the NDA has got, we are overwhelmed by the trust and love of the people in Bihar, we definitely thank the people.

Patna: Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president Jitan Ram Manjhi contested in the Bihar Assembly election with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) where a total of seven seats were given to him out of which he won in four.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Manjhi himself won elections from Imamganj seat and said, with the number of votes that the NDA has got, we are overwhelmed by the trust and love of the people in Bihar, we definitely thank the people.

He also said that a large number of women votes that their coalition got was especially because Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has continuously worked to advance women in Bihar and somewhere this time women have understood this. He also added said public has clearly rejected those who wanted to bring jungle raj in Bihar.

When asked about his comments on Liquor ban in the state before polls, he refused to comment about it and said whatever I said I will make sure that the government discusses the full liquor ban.

He added that he is confident that Nitish Kumar will be retained as the Chief Minister as was discussed during the formation of an alliance. He also expressed full confidence that Nitish Kumar will once again work for the betterment and development of the people of Bihar who have given them a clear majority.
