Pandey also brushed aside any concerns about 23 cops testing positive for the virus, saying that the number was not high as the force consisted of one lakh personnel.

"All our personnel, irrespective of the rank, including me, go to the red zones and even containment areas to assess the situation," he said.

"It is the personnel at the frontline who are at utmost danger. If one lakh people are working, obviously the number might even go up. This does not mean the end," he added.

However, the top cop added that the force was taking all necessary precautions in the fight against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Bihar reported 15 fresh cases of COVID-19 today, taking the state's virus tally to 761.
