Son kills 60-year-old for money on 'Mother's Day'

In a gruesome incident of its kind, a 60-year-old mother was killed in Samastipur by her son as she refused to share the money that victim got by selling her property. Worse was that the incident took place on Mother's Day. The accused was arrested and the victim died in the hospital during treatment.

Samastipur: As the country celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday a man in Samastipur district of Bihar killed his mother for the money she refused to hand him out.

Nathu Chourasiya, the eldest son of Mira Devi (60) was upset as her mother did not give her the money she got out of selling her property. After asking her a few times, frustrated and anguished Nathu attacked and killed her with a sharp weapon as she headed for bath.

While the neighbors reached the spot after hearing a loud noise, they saw Mira lying on a pool of blood.

The villagers informed about the incident in Sarairanjan police station of Khalispur following which police reached the spot and arrested the accused. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but she succumbed to her injuries.

Mira's three sons used to work outside the village and were called after the incident took place.
