Bettiah: A youth in his twenties was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly running a pro-Pakistan WhatsApp group in Bettiah town of West Champaran district.
Confirming his arrest, superintendent of police Jayant Kant said that Saddam Quraishi, 22, who is the admin of 'Pakistan Zindabad' group was arrested from Nazni Chowk.
Police also seized Quraishi's mobile phone from which the WhatsApp group was being run.
He was arrested on charges of conspiring to disturb the unity and integrity of the country after some locals filed a complaint. It is speculated that Quraishi might have a Pakistan connection.
