Motihari: The villagers in Bihar's Motihari district attacked a police team after an elderly woman died after she was kicked by a policeman during a raid on her house.
As per reports, some policemen got injured in the incident which took place at Nayakatola village under the Kotawa police station area. The deceased was identified as Sushila Devi and her younger son lodged a murder case against the policemen.
Speaking to reporters, Chhotelal Yadav, the younger son of the deceased, said that the police team led by SHO Nitin Kumar raided their house, claiming that smuggled liquor was hidden there.

"I along with my mother was present in the house when the police came. My mother asked the policemen not to enter the house after which one of the policemen kicked her and she fell on the ground and died instantly," he added.
Following the incident, East Champaran's Superintendent of Police (SP) reached the spot and controlled the situation.
The SP later sent the body for an autopsy and promised a thorough investigation into the matter.
