Two home guards ran over by liquor smugglers in Bihar

According to information the gang was intercepted by the guards at the Dalkola Check post near Bihar-Bengal border when they tried to enter into Purnia from the wrong side at very high speed. To stop them the guards came on the road, however, the culprits ran over them after which they left the vehicle on the spot and fled.

Purnia: One home guard was killed and another severely injured when a liquor smuggling gang in Bihar ran over them with their SUV.

According to information the gang was intercepted by the guards at the Dalkola Check post near Bihar-Bengal border when they tried to enter into Purnia from the wrong side at very high speed.

To stop them the guards came on the road, however, the culprits ran over them after which they left the vehicle on the spot and fled.

The injured guard is being treated at the Bayasi Health Center.

The deceased Home Guard Jawan Ganesh Paswan was a resident of Chandwa Bhagwa village of Falaka police station. The name of the injured guard is Vidyanand Kumar, who is from Raj Ghat B Koti.

The police have seized the four-wheeler loaded with alcohol and are on a lookout for the criminals.
