Patna: Income tax officials raided Sadaqat Ashram, Congress' headquarter in Patna after cash amounting to Rs 8 lakh was found outside the party office on Thursday.
Shakti Singh Gohil and Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala were also questioned in connection with the seizure.
Income tax teams have been investigating the Congress offices for hours through the day. A notice was pasted at the Congress headquarters.
Bihar Congress in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil said that when 22 and a half kg of gold recovered from BJP candidate brother house, no agency asked about this. Anyway, the money that was recovered from the car was outside the compound.
Shakti Singh Gohil said that the BJP and JDU are nervous about the grand alliance, so the raid has come down. By the way, we are not afraid of it and will cooperate.
