Patna: Original copies of the books written by one of the most famous, successful and influential writers of modern Hindi literature Phanishwar Nath 'Renu' have been stolen from his house, where no one was living for the past few weeks, family sources said.
Most of his books and other works, which were signed by him, were kept here and all that have been stolen," Phanishwar Nath's daughter Navneeta Sinha told ETV Bharat here.
She said people who take interest in Hindi literature used to visit my father's house to see his works in original but there's nothing left after the theft.
"People in the locality told us that thefts are very common here. There's no security and safety of the people and their houses in the locality," she said.
"Maila Aanchal, Kaagaz Ki Nao and many original copies of many other books have been stolen," she said, adding that there was nothing left in the house for the admirers of his work.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and a probe is on.
