We will ask PM to conduct caste census in Bihar: CM Nitish Kumar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reached Delhi and said in a media interaction that tomorrow at 11 am, he will go to the Prime Minister's Office and meet PM Modi. He added that the all-party delegation from Bihar will also accompany him. They will raise the demand to conduct a caste census in Bihar.

New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reached Delhi and said in a media interaction that tomorrow at 11 am, he will go to the Prime Minister's Office and meet PM Modi. He added that the all-party delegation from Bihar will also accompany him. They will raise the demand to conduct a caste census in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar said that the caste census is very important for the whole country including Bihar. It should happen atleast once. This will lead to the development of all sections of the people. It will help in making development programs for all sections of the people. He added that Bihar has passed the resolution unanimously twice and sent it to the Centre. It is expected that during the meeting with the PM tomorrow, a way will be found regarding the caste census. If the caste census is done, then the schemes of the government will reach all the sections of the people.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, VIP President Mukesh Sahni, Bihar MIM chief Akhtarul Iman, Congress leader Ajeet Sharma, and Left party leaders will be part of this all-party delegation that will meet PM Modi. However, the BJP is not in favour of the caste census. BJP argues that the central government is taking special care of people of every section. BJP believes that there will be tension in society due to the caste census.
