Patna: Asking Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to follow 'Rajdharma', Congress national spokesperson and Bihar MLC Prem Chandra Mishra said that the minister is not discussing the coronavirus issue with the opposition leaders of the state.
"In this hour of crisis, I advise him to keep politics aside and work as a Chief Minister instead of working as a party member of JDU," Mishra said.
Until and unless he doesn't discuss the matter with the opposition leaders, he will not be able to get a clear picture of the situation, Mishra said, adding that there are a total of 106 MLA in opposition, which is a huge amount.
"I strongly advise him to interact with members of opposition parties and take their feedback into account, to improve the situation of coronavirus in the state," he added.
Alleging that quarantine centres in the state are devoid of basic facilities, he said, that Bihar government has failed at every front, whether it's delay in arranging for the return of the migrant workers or providing them with adequate services.
"Kumar's denial in hearing the recommendation of the opposition leaders and banning media the entry into the quarantine centres simply suggests that there is something suspicious," he maintained.
The minister has also asked the Bihar CM to lift up the ban on media immediately.
With the registration of eleven new coronavirus cases in Bihar on Monday, total number of COVID-19 cases in the state have risen to 707, state health ministry said.
