Gopalganj: An FIR has been registered on Saturday against Bihar social welfare minister Ram Sevak Singh and five others in connection with a murder case of an RJD supporter at Rupnechhap village under Hathua police limits in state's Gopalganj.
According to reports, one Jaibahadur Singh of the same village was allegedly killed by some unidentified miscreants on Friday.
On Saturday, Dhirendra Singh, a relative of the deceased lodged a complaint with Mirganj police and stated in FIR copy that his grandfather was threatened by Ram Sevak Singh.
"The minister and local legislator Ramsevak Singh was pressurizing my grandfather to vote in his favour. When my grandfather refused to vote in his favour, five people including ministers Ramsevak Singh, Shriram Singh, Balaram Singh and Bhagwan Singh murdered him," the complainant said in the FIR copy.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the minister and started an investigation of the matter. Police have also interrogated the five persons regarding this matter, reports said.
