Gaya (Bihar): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized four kilograms of smuggled gold around ₹1.50 crore on Friday and arrested two smugglers in Bihar's Gaya from Doon express.
DRI conducted the raid on the basis of a tip-off.
According to the tip-off, two persons were smuggling out the gold from Howrah to Uttar Pradesh.
These smugglers were doing their job with perfection, they wrapped the gold in such a way that police will not notice.
They were being paid ₹65,000 for each consignment and their roots were connected to Bangladesh.
According to Railway Protection Force (RPF), Station In-Charge Kamal Kishor Singh said that neither the RPF nor the local police was being informed about the raid.
DRI is interrogating the smugglers to capture all the associates of this international racket.
