Purnia: A dead body of a Covid-19 patient was wrapped in plastic and was carried in the bucket of an earth-mover, violating all Covid-19 protocols and basic human decency. The body was later buried along the canal in Amour with the help of the earth-mover.
The incident has led to severe criticism of the district administration.

The deceased was identified as Panchu Yadav. He was a resident of village Belgachi. He was admitted to the Belgachi COVID Center in Amour. He died on 29 May.

The deceased was not even provided with an ambulance, violating the guidelines issued by the government.
