New Delhi: Hours after Congress released its 2019 election manifesto, Congress's lone Rajya Sabha member from Bihar and chairman of state Congress election campaign committee Akhilesh Prasad Singh said that it reflects the voice of the people.
In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, Akhilesh Prasad Singh said, "Since Independence, Congress is the only party which talks about the nation collectively. BJP, on the other hand, propagates nationalism which for them means Hinduism."
He further said that party has always stood by common man and the manifesto reflects those concerns.
BPCC chief said that manifesto released by AICC president Rahul Gandhi voices concerns of every section of the society and aims at benefitting all. "The manifesto mainly focuses on creating jobs, addressing agrarian distress and strengthening education and health sectors besides charting out a roadmap to boost economic growth. Our leaders have made sure to pay equal attention to all classes."
Singh further said that people of Bihar are in support of the state's Mahagathbandhan (coalition). "Congress will storm back to power as people of Bihar will not fall prey to the false promises anymore. No Modi rallies or Nitish's public meetings can bring relief to the sinking NDA."
