Sitamarhi: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Chirag Paswan has promised that his party if voted to power in the State, would ensure that historical legacies would be revived and preserved. He has also promised that his government would construct a temple for Sita, which will be bigger than the Ram temple being constructed in Ayodhya.

The preservation of historical sites will be a priority of his government, said Chirag.

In fact, Bihar politics looks all set to have a situation where every party is finding it difficult to script a massive win. As a result, many parties and their leaders are knocking at the door of the gods to win the election.

Chirag Paswan, who is a Member of Parliament from Jamai reserved seat, reached Sitamarhi and offered prayer at the place where Sita was born. He has promised to the people of the state that his government if voted to power, will work for preserving the historical sites of the state which no government has done so far.

The issue of Ayodhya had ensured a massive victory for the BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha. Chirag Paswan has pinned his hope on the birthplace of Sita. He has promised that he would ensure a grand temple of Sita is constructed in Sitamarhi, which will be an effort towards bringing the birthplace of Sita on the world map of tourism. He said that people would be able to offer puja in the temple of Sita as well as that of Ram. He said that he would try to build a six lane corridor known as the Sia-Ram corridor.

‘Need to preserve heritage sites’

Chirag Paswan says that Bihar has given birth to many great souls but none of the governments in the past did not do anything to preserve these historical sites. The temple of Mata Sita will be constructed. This will lead to the promotion of religious tourism in Sitamarhi. Even in the vision document of Chirag Paswan, there is a promise of developing the birthplace of Sita as a global site of religious tourism.
