Sitamarhi: A case has been filed against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) member Kalyan Banerjee for commenting on Lord Ram and Sita.
The case was filed by advocate Thakur Chandan Singh at the Sitamarhi civil court. According to the complaint, the TMC leaders' comments hurt religious sentiments. The case was filed under sections 295A and 120B of the Indian Penal Court (IPC).
Advocate Singh said the statement was made to appease the Muslims, in view of the upcoming assembly elections in Bengal.

He further alleged that Singh said Mamata are involved in the vote bank politics.
