New Delhi: After the Union Home Ministry released a new guideline, measures are taken to bring back the Bihar labourers stranded in other states by the special trains amid lockdown.

At the same time, BJP's MLC and senior leader Sachchidanand Rai has slammed his own Bihar government.

Sachchidanand Rai said that the problem is not going to be solved by bringing back the labourers from other states. In such a situation, the suffering of labourers will increase further, he added.

"After bringing back the labourers, the Bihar government will not be able to employ them," he said.

If the labourers will return, the corona infection in Bihar may also increase rapidly, he added.

"When the lockdown is lifted, work will start in other states too. Hence, labourers will be required there. If they will be taken away to Bihar then how the work in other states go?" Rai stated.

To give impetus to the stalled economy, the labourers must stay where they are. He claimed that the workers coming back to Bihar will remain unemployed after the lockdown gets over.

It has been more than 40 days since the lockdown, then what was the need to bring labourers back after so many days? The lockdown may be removed after May 17, he added.

"I know that the labourers trapped in other states facing a lot of problems as they have no food and employment, but bringing them back is not the solution," Rai said.

He suggested that the Bihar government should talk to the other state governments and asked them to provide all possible help to the Bihar labourers trapped in other states.
