New Delhi: Congress National General Secretary and senior leader Tariq Anwar said that BJP used Chirag Paswan in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections. Now BJP has betrayed Chirag Paswan and left him alone.

The Congress leader said that BJP uses people to cheat and do politics and later they leave them alone. Chirag Paswan is an example of this policy. He said that Chirag has no option left now. If he wants to join the Grand Alliance, we will consider it. He further added that it has to be seen how ready Chirag is for joining the alliance. It will be surprising if he stays with BJP even after being cheated.

Tariq Anwar said that Pashupati Paras has been made a cabinet minister in the central government from the LJP quota. This appointment is done keeping in mind the caste equation and is not on his merit.

Earlier, the Lok Janshakti Party has broken into two factions. A total of 5 MPs separated with Chirag's uncle and MP Pashupati Paras. The MPs made Pashupati Paras the leader of the parliamentary party instead of Chirag. Paras also became the National President of the LJP replacing Chirag after meeting with the people of his faction. Chirag Paswan retaliated by throwing the rebels out of the party. Chirag called a meeting of the LJP's national executive in which 95% of the party workers were present. Chirag mentioned that he is the LJP National President.

As of now, LJP is divided into two camps. One group belongs to Chirag while the second group is headed by his uncle Pashupati Paras. Both the factions are calling themselves the real LJP. The matter is now in the Election Commission. At the same time, Paras has also been made a cabinet minister in the central government from the LJP quota. Since then, Chirag Paswan is said to be angry with BJP. Now the big question is whether he will go to the Grand Alliance? The role of JDU is believed to be behind the division of the LJP as revenge for LJP fielding candidates against the JDU in every seat during the Bihar assembly elections.
