New Delhi: Calling Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman an epitome of the Constitutional set-up and dignity, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday warned the suspended MPs, and said Bihar would take "revenge" if they did not apologise for their behaviour.
"Harivansh Singh is not only Bihar's son, but is also Jayaprakash Narayan's follower, has worked with former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar Singh, and also as a journalist," he said.
"Ever since he became the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman, he has established himself as the epitome of the Constitutional set-up and dignity. If they (suspended MPs) do not apologise, then Bihar will definitely take revenge," Giriraj added.
Attacking the suspended MPs for their unruly behaviour towards the Deputy Chairman, Giriraj also likened them to 'Urban Naxals'.
"In a way, these are the Urban Naxals returning in a new form. They are Urban Naxals in a new avatar, the country will never forgive them as they have attacked the dignity of the Deputy Chairman," Giriraj said.

Earlier in the day, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Harivansh announced his 24-hour fast citing opposition members' "humiliating" conduct towards him.
Bihar NDA leaders, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi, decried the "insult" meted out to Harivansh, and said the people of the state will teach the opposition a lesson.
