Black day on Sunday to mark failure of Bihar CM: Upendra Kushwaha

Rashtriya Lok Samta Party leader Upendra Kushwaha directed party workers to observe black day on May 10 from 10 am to 12 pm in order to highlight the failure of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in curbing the spread of coronavirus in the state.

New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Samta Party leader and former Minister of State for HRD in Government of India Upendra Kushwaha on Friday took to Twitter and hit out at NDA the led- Bihar government for neglecting the interest of the migrant workers and asked the party workers to observe May 10 as a 'black day' in the state.

He directed the party workers to stage a web protest on Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm in order to mark the failure of Nitish Kumar in tackling the coronvirus disease in the state.

Slamming Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Kushwaha alleged that the government failed to deal with the coronavirus in the state, resulting in a vast increment of coronavirus cases in the state.

Hitting on the prohibition for media entering the quarantine centres, the former minister said, "Media is the fourth pillar of the democracy. They have the right to report the news wherever they need. Then, why the CM has barred the media persons from entering the quarantine centres."

The Minister further demanded to release the second instalment of the relief fund for the migrant workers stranded in the different locations of the country.

"Till now, Kumar ji has released only Rs 1,000, which is not enough for a person to manage the basic expanse for a month. Keeping in mind the expanses of the labour, he must release an aid of Rs 10,000 to every daily wage earners", added Kushwaha.

The Minister also urged the CM to look after the farmers of the state as they are badly hit by the nationwide lockdown.

According to the data collected from the website of the Health Ministry, the state has 571 positive cases of coronavirus. Also, as many as five people in the state have lost the battle against the deadly virus.
