New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) Secretary-General KC Tyagi has said that only political parties and leaders, who are afraid of polls in Bihar, want to see them postponed.
He said the Elections Commission was consistently saying that the Bihar polls would be held on time.
"There are some political parties and leaders, who are afraid of the elections and want the same to be postponed," he said, adding that elections are being conducted in several countries during the on-going pandemic and should be held in India too.
Talking about Mahagathbandhan, he said it was not a grand alliance anymore as only a few parties are part of it.
He said, Mahagathbandhan constituents are fighting among themselves and they are not ready to accept the 'immature leadership' of Tejashwi Yadav of RJD.
The JD(U) leader also favoured to hold exams of JEE and NEET as planned and said the decision would help in saving precious time of students.
