Bihar: Journalist shot at by unidentified assailants in Madhubani

Unidentified assailants shot a journalist named Pradeep Mandal on Sunday in Madhubani. He has been referred to DMCH hospital for treatment. The suspects have been identified by the victim and the police his searching for them.

Madhubani: A journalist on Sunday was allegedly shot at by unidentified assailants in Madhubani's Pandaul.

The victim has been identified as Pradeep Mandal, who was going to Hati village from Pandaul late at night. This is when two men arrived, one of which fired at him. They immediately fled away from the spot.

Hearing the gunshot, the locals arrived, and admitted him to the DMCH hospital for the treatment. The doctors have currently described his condition as serious.

On receiving the information, Sakri police reached the hospital. Pradeep told them in an interrogation that, "Two men - Ashok Mandal and Sushil Mandal were involved in the incident."

After the identfication of the accused, the police have begun a search for them. It has raided various places in this process. Although no arrest has been made so far.
