New Delhi: Showering praise on Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Singh on Tuesday after he offered tea to opposition MPs sitting on dharna in Parliament complex, Janata Dal (United) Bihar unit president Vashishtha Narayan Singh said he was the perfect example of a person living life in a dignified manner.
"I have known him since a long time. With conviction, I can say, be it living life in a dignified manner, or following etiquette to the very end, there is no better example than Harivansh," said Vasishtha, who is also an MP from the Rajya Sabha.
Vashishtha further said that while overseeing the House proceedings, Harivansh never differentiated between members of the ruling dispensation and the opposition.
"His gesture was commendable today. He has learnt from Jayaprakash Narayan and former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar. Even during his career as a journalist, he fought for the needy," he said.
Eight Rajya Sabha MPs were suspended from the House on Monday for their "misconduct" during the passage of two farm bills on Sunday.

Some of them threw rule book, tore its page and climbed the secretary general's table as they attacked Harivansh, who was in the Chair, for going ahead with the process of the bills' passage.
Protesting their suspension, the MPs are on a dharna.
Harivansh met them on Tuesday morning, enquired after their well-being and offered them tea.
