New Delhi: Bihar Congress President Madan Mohan Jha conducted party's Central Election Committee meeting on Thursday in New Delhi. The meeting was held to discuss the names of candidates over remaining 6 Congress seats in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Bihar Congress in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil and Congress Legislative Party leader Sadanand Singh were also present in the meeting.
Congress is in grand-alliance in Bihar and it will contest the Lok Sabha elections for 9 seats.
According to sources, Meera Kumar can be nominated as Congress candidate from Sasaram Lok Sabha constituency.
It is expected that Shatrughan Sinha, Ranjit Ranjan, Neelam Devi, Ashok Ram and Kirti Azad can be nominated from Patna Sahib, Supaul, Munger, Samastipur and Bettiah constituency respcetively.
Congress has already announced the names of candidates on 3 seats.
Tariq Anwar, Pappu Singh and Mohammed Javed have been made Congress candidate from Katihar, Purnea and Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency.
Congress will soon make formal announcement for the names of 6 remaining candidates on March 29.
