Gopalganj (Bihar): A 90-year-old mother in Bihar's Gopalganj has sought government help to save her son suffering from paralysis.
As per reports, five years ago, Ragho Ram Kumbar, became paralysed after an accident in Delhi. He underwent treatment at various hospitals in Bihar. Ragho's family suffered a lot after this as he was the sole breadwinner of the family.
Ragho's wife died a few years ago due to illness. Now a total of four people are left in his family. Reeling under poverty, Ragho's mother has requested the government to lend a helping hand to facilitate her son's treatment.
Speaking to ETV Bharat reporter, Ragho's mother, Jileba said," We haven't received any help from the government. Neighbours gave us food on some occasions. Ragho's daughter helped us for some time but now she is also not helping. Ragho has two sons but we don't know where they are staying."
"I am requesting the government to facilitate his treatment. I cannot see my son in this situation. I request the govt to provide help so that my son can be operated and he can at least become fit enough to do some work," Jileba said.
"Despite having a disability certificate, I am yet to get a pension. I request the government to help me so that I can look after my mother.
We don't even have a ration card," said Ragho.
