Patna: Just a few days after the wrap up of general elections, an incident of open violence has emerged from the capital city of Bihar.
A man, who was out on a morning walk, was shot dead by a group of unknown assailants in Budhha colony of Patna in Bihar on early Monday morning.
The deceased, identified as Ravi Rai, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but he did not survive the wounds and was pronounced brought dead.
According to the passers-by, Ravi was taken aback when the miscreants charged at him. He was shot in the head and chest.
According to the local residents, Ravi Rai has had a criminal history which gives rise to a possibility of the whole incident being a case of mutual rivalry.
The matter is currently under investigation.
