Bodhgaya (Bihar): Panic gripped a village in Bodhgaya after 25 members of a family tested positive for COVID-19.
All the 25 members have been shifted to isolation wards.
According to the officials, all of them had returned from Jharkhand after which they organised tonsure of a newborn baby in their family. Many of their relatives attended the event after which the health of many of them deteriorated. After the event, samples of all the family members were sent for examination following which 25 samples were found to be positive.
In-charge of the community health centre Manoj Kumar said that they sent samples of 30 people for testing after which 25 people were found positive. The health department will send the samples to Patna for re-examination.

The villagers are terrified after so many people tested positive for the virus. The health department and the officials are taking all the measures to contain the spread of the virus.
COVID-19 cases are increasing day-by-day in Gaya, keeping administration on its toes.
Meanwhile, more than 300 coronavirus cases have been reported in Gaya.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 14, 575 cases of COVID-19 in Bihar out of which 4347 are active cases while 10109 patients have been cured and discharged. The state also reported 119 deaths.
