Samastipur: At least 190 minors were rescued from a bangle factory in Jaipur by a volunteer organisation 'Praysas', working actively for sustainable development in Rajasthan.
According to Sumit Kumar, coordinator Prayas, "Out of 190 children working in bangles manufacturing unit, 132 were from Bihar with 28 alone from Samastipur district."
The minors had to work for more than 12 hours a day at the unit for which they were paid Rs 2000 to Rs 2500.
Kumar further informed that rescued minors were brought to work at bangle manufacturing unit on the reference of other workers who were already working there.
Officials of the rescue team informed that the children will be soon sent back to their parents after a medical checkup.
