Woman lynched to death on suspicion of murder in Assam

In a shocking incident of mob lynching from the state of Assam, a woman was beaten to death over the alleged suspicion surrounding the death of her daughter-in-law. Her son, who was also thrashed by the crowd, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Assam: A mother and her son died after being brutally thrashed by a mob over the alleged issue of the murder of her missing daughter-in-law in Tinsukia district in Assam.

The heinous act was carried out in Rangpuri village on Friday.

According to the reports, the victim's daughter-in-law was missing for the past three days.

Further, her body was recovered from a septic tank by the residents of the village.

Following the incident, the residents took the law into their hands, when the mother along with her son were summoned to the police station.

The brutal attack led to three deaths as the mother-in-law of the deceased woman died on the spot while the husband succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital.
