New Delhi: A war of wards has begun ahead of the third phase of Assembly polls in Assam. Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday slammed Abdur Rahim, son of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) president Badruddin Ajmal, for declaring that "dadhi, topi, lungiwallah" people will form government in Assam.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Singh said India is a land of 'Sanatan dharma' and the slogan of 'Jai Shree Ram and Hare Hare' prevail in the entire country. He said the BJP will take the country forward keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's motto 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'.

Meanwhile, a voter turnout of 76 and 75 per cent were registered in the first two phases of the Assam Assembly elections held on March 27 and April 1 respectively. The third and final phase of polling will be held on April 6.
