Japanese Encephalitis death toll in Assam rises to 124

According to data released by Assam State Health Department, the death toll attributed to Japanese Encephalitis in the state has reached 124. Eight people had died and fifteen new cases were reported on Friday.

Guwahati: The Japanese Encephalitis death toll in Assam reached 124, according to data released by Assam State Health Department on Friday.

Eight people died and 15 new cases were registered on Friday.

Nearly 588 people are undergoing treatment for the disease across various hospitals of Assam.

According to the report, at least one person has died from Chirang, Barpeta, Dima Hasao, Sivsagar and Dhubri districts of Assam.

26. JULY :Japanise Encephalitis  spread out all across the State of Assam. According to the data released by Assam Health Department till today death toll rises up to 124. So far  15 new cases has been resgistred today and eight people died till this evening.  588 people are still undergoing treatment in various hospitals of Assam.  According to the report one death has been counted from Chirang, Barpeta, Dima Hasao, Sivsagar and Dhubri district of Assam.
