Guwahati (Assam): State Finance Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma hit out at West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her recent statement that all Bangladeshis, who have been casting votes, are Indian citizens.
While talking to media persons in Guwahati, Sarma said, "Mamata Banerjee is trying to redefine the citizenship clause in the Constitution of India. I think next time, she will not campaign in West Bengal but Bangladesh. She stands for Bangladeshi infiltrators."
He further said that Mamata Banerjee has no "genuine concern for the scarce resource" adding, "the limited resources that are available with the West Bengal government should have been used for the poor and needy of the Bengal."
"She is openly inviting a particular section of Bangladeshi infiltrators to India," Sarma added.
