Guwahati: More than a month after the abduction of two employees of the Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited, the anti-talk faction of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has set a deadline of February 16 for securing their release failing which "necessary action" will be taken against them.

The ULFA faction stated this in a press statement issued to the media on Wednesday and added that the two employees of the Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited were abducted due to some conflict between the PIL company and ULFA and NSCN.

"The company had shown no interest to secure the release of the two employees despite the fact that one month has already passed since their abduction. If they don't take any steps to secure the release of the two employees by February 16, then necessary action will be taken on February 17. The deadline will not be extended at any cost. After February 17, We will also ban the Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited in Assam as well as in the entire Western South East Asia," said the statement signed by Rumel Asomm, member of the publicity wing of the ULFA faction.
