Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday joined a campaign rally extending his support to the Rohtas Nagar, East Delhi BJP candidate Jitender Mahajan.
With assembly elections in Delhi just a week away, CM Sonowal requested people to vote in favor of BJP. "Kejriwal government had made a lot of promises to the people which haven't been fulfilled, he has lost people's trust and I guarantee BJP will be in power this time" he added.
The rally started off in Sri Ram Nagar and saw a huge surge of the crowd. CM Sonowal also assured that if BJP is given the mandate, a Namghar will be set up for the Assamese people and a road will be named after Sankardev in Delhi.
