Tezpur (Assam): Ahead of Panchayat election in Arunachal Pradesh two employees of a private oil company were abducted on Monday from a drilling-site at Khumchaikha in Innao area.
According to Director General of Arunachal Police R P Upadhyaya, it is confirmed that two persons - one from Sivsagar in Assam and another in Bihar have been abducted by a group of gunmen suspected to be members of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM).
Talking to ETV Bharat over phone, the DGP added that the abducted employees are PK Gogoi from Sivsagar district of Assam and Ram Kumar from Bihar are drilling superintendent and radio operator, respectively. Both are working with Quippo Oil and Gas infrastructure Limited have been operating in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

"A case have been registered by Diyun police station today and search operation is going on in suspected area," DGP Upadhyaya said.
The base of militant outfit specifically NSCN(IM) and ULFA (I) keeps changing and it also covers a little bit of international border of Myanmar.
During last two month the Arunachal police and security forces have arrested several NSCN (IM) and ULFA(I) members.
