Kokrajhar (Assam): An AK series assault rifle and its ammunition have been seized in a forest area in Assam's Kokrajhar district, police said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team launched a search operation in Duligaon forest in Bogribari police station area on Friday night, district Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan said.

An AK series rifle, two magazines and 30 bullets were found concealed in a bamboo grove in the forest area, he added.
