Three AK-56 rifles seized in Mizoram

Three AK-56 series rifles, three empty magazines and Myanmar currency worth Rs 2,30,000 were seized by the Customs Department.

Champhai: Three AK-56 series rifles, three empty magazines and Myanmar currency worth Rs 2,30,000 were recovered in the forest area in Zote, Champhai district of Mizoram on January 2021 by the Customs Department and the Serchhip Battalion of Assam rifles in Mizoram.

The three AK-56 series rifles with three empty magazines, wrapped in a red cloth were seized by the Customs Department, Champhai for further legal proceedings.
