Guwahati: The Rashtriya Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Friday called for a statewide 12-hour bandh on Friday to protest against the inclusion of illegal immigrants and exclusion of Hindus from the final NRC list.
The bandh has had mixed impact in a few areas of the Barak Valley with no effects in the Dima Hasao district.
Brahmaputa Valley too witnessed a regular day except the places Baksa and Biswanath.
Around 48 supporters of the bandh were arrested in Dhubri.
