YSRCP MLA booked for assaulting MPDO officer

Venkatachalam's Mandal Parishad Development officer named Sarala accused MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy of allegedly assaulting and harassing her on Friday night. Sarala has also appealed to state chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for providing justice and to take stern action against the accused MLA.

Nellore: Nellore Rural MLA, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy was booked on assault charges after Venkatachalam's Mandal Parishad Development Officer, Sarala accused him of allegedly assaulting and harassing her on Friday night.

According to Sarala, Reddy barged into her house in an inebriated state and started attacking her. He also smashed the water pipeline, cut off the power supply and disconnected the cable wire.

Sarala immediately went to the police station to file a complaint but the police officials were not present.

After waiting for 5 hours, when the police officials arrived, the MPDO officer filed the complaint against the MLA.

"Three days ago, Reddy had asked me to provide a panchayat water connection to his close relative and threatened me over the phone," revealed Sarala.

Sarala has also appealed to state Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seeking justice and urged him to take stern action against the accused MLA.
